The first Bernal Heights Outdoor Cinema Face-to-Face screening will feature IN SEARCH OF GOOD FOOD. The filmmaker will be on hand to introduce his full-length film and take part in a discussion afterward. Wednesday, 4/25 at 7pm. Inclusions Gallery, located at 627 Cortland Avenue, opens its doors early. Audience members are invited to come at 6:30pm, peruse the gallery and secure a seat.
If you are interested in seeing the film or hosting a screening, here are the guidelines:
First, are you interested in just getting a copy as an individual?
If so, email us at goodfoodscreenings[at]gmail.com with "COPY REQUEST" in the subject line. Include your name and mailing address in the email, and send a check (make sure the check is associated with the name from your email, and made out to "Antonio Roman-Alcalá") for $20 to:
In Search of Good Productions
68 Arnold Avenue
San Francisco, CA 94110
Once we receive the check we will send out the DVD! Please, note, this price is for home viewing only!
If you are representing a non-profit organization, community or school group that would like to sponsor, host, or promote a screening, we have two options:
1) You may preview a DVD to see if you'd like to screen it, but we require a $50 deposit check. Follow the same instructions for individuals, but write "ORG COPY REQUEST" in the subject line. If you decide to screen the film to a public audience, let us know and we will cash the check. If you do not decide to screen it, let us know and when you return the DVD we will destroy the check. (If we don't hear from you within a month of sending the DVD we will assume you are screening and cash the check). You are welcome to charge admissions for your screening, under two conditions: that any proceeds go to a local good food organization, and that you not turn anyone away for lack of funds.
2) If writing a $50 check isn't possible for your group, let us know, and we may be able to offer the DVD in advance for a screening. We ask that you collect donations or admission at the screening and split the proceeds between your organization and ours. Details can be worked out on a case by case basis.
If you are involved in a larger non-profit (annual budget of over $100,000), university, or business, the screening fee is $150. Follow the same process, but write "INSTITUTIONAL COPY REQUEST" in the subject line of your email.
If you are holding a screening, please don't forget to fill out our follow-up form after your event so that we can keep track of In Search of Good Food screenings for our records!
Email us with any questions or requests for deviation from these prices at goodfoodscreenings[at]gmail.com
